SUSU Scientist Took Part in Civil Readings in Belarus

The Sixth Civil Readings in memory of Professor M.G. Pronina were held on March 13, 2024. They were organized by the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus, Belarusian State University, Ural State Law University, National Centre for Legal Information, and Belarusian Republican Union of Lawyers.

Tikhon Podshivalov, Head of the Department of Civil Law and Civil Legal Procedures, Deputy Director for Research of the SUSU Institute of Law, presented a report at the conference.

“Civil Readings in memory of Professor M.G. Pronina is a real milestone event for the legal community. The event was organized by Maria Pronina’s student, Doctor of Sciences (Law), Professor Nataliia Bondarenko. It is extremely important to preserve the memory of the scientific heritage of our teachers because much of what we achieve is the merit of our scientific mentors. Therefore, I gladly responded to the offer to deliver a report at the readings in Belarus,” said Tikhon Podshivalov.

Judges of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus, a judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Belarus, representatives of the Belarusian Notary Chamber and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus, scientists from Lomonosov Moscow State University, Ural Federal University, Saratov State Law Academy, and South Ural State University presented their reports at the event.

As part of the discussion, theoretical and applied issues of civil and family law, corporate law, insurance law, and civil procedure were analysed.
