SUSU Association of International Students Held a Lecture for Guests of the World Youth Festival

The final stage of the meeting of guests who came from different parts of the world and had previously visited the World Youth Festival in Sochi was an acquaintance with the activities of the Association of International Students of South Ural State University.

The Executive Director of the Association Dilrabo Tozhikulova addressed the guests with a welcoming speech. She emphasized that the motto of both the festival and the SUSU Association of International Students is to support international and interethnic friendship.

"SUSU has become a platform for holding the regional stage of the World Youth Festival, which has recently been held in Sochi. Young people are now getting acquainted with the regions and leading universities of our country. For me personally, this is another great experience: the geography is expanding because students from 56 countries study at SUSU, and students from those countries who are new to the university have come here. Of course, both me and our entire Association are interested in getting to know each other and collaborating. Guys are interested in learning what we do and discovering new things," said Dilrabo Tozhikulova, Executive Director of the South Ural Association of international Students and Alumni.

Next, the President of the Association Farrukh Nurboev gave a speech about the events held at SUSU and at the premises of our university. He noted the main ones: the organization and celebration of many national holidays, including Nowruz, Day of Arab Culture, Day of African Cultures, New Year, tea ceremony, various sporting events, etc. He also said that the Association deals with issues of adaptation of international students to Russian culture and life.

"For me, being part of the festival is a very amazing experience because we, Indonesians, value the dialogue between cultures, we like to meet people of different cultures. And it’s really great to study another culture, another language, in particular the Russian language, your history. I was glad to spend a week in Sochi, then we went to Moscow for a few days and arrived in Chelyabinsk. Of course, during this time I met many people and hope for further international friendship. Chelyabinsk seems to me a wonderful city with its own history and culture, and your university seems like a unique place," shared Akhnaf Aslam, a participant from Indonesia.

In addition, representatives of the Association emphasized the importance of further international cooperation and spoke about achievements, ongoing projects, and master classes at SUSU.
