South Ural State University has taken the 16th place among regional digital economy universities. It has become the only representative of the Chelyabinsk Region in this ranking.
A new ranking of digital economy universities was compiled by ANO “Tsifrovaya ekonomika” (Digital Economy) company, the Ministry for Digital Technology, Communication and Mass Media of the Russian Federation (MinTsifry of Russia) with the support from the Information & Computer Technologies Industry Association (APKIT). The ranking method implies the assessment of universities against two parameters: the scale of training IT specialists and the assessment of universities by digital economy companies. The final results of this assessment have been summarized in two rankings: universities of Moscow and Saint Petersburg, and regional universities.
In total, the ranking assessed 304 leading universities and considered 63 programmes of IT personnel training. Universities listed in this ranking have been recognized to have made a significant contribution into the quantitative and qualitative training of IT specialists.
