The main objective of the project is to develop a youth tourism system in order to raise the cultural level of young people, stimulate the interest of young people in participating in scientific, educational and professional events on the territory of interuniversity campuses.
"The inter-university campus, which is being built in Chelyabinsk as part of the Science and Universities National Project of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science with the active participation of the Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region Alexey Texler, is more than an important architectural object of the city. This is the place where the future industrial, scientific and cultural elite of the region is formed! The new campus, like a magnet, should attract the most talented students, the most promising scientists, and the most daring experimenters. I am confident that the campus will allow us to be prepared for current challenges in science and industry. For this, the necessary conditions are already being created to achieve scientific and technological security and sovereignty, and the issue of the shortage of highly qualified scientific and engineering personnel is being resolved," says the Rector of South Ural State University Alexander Wagner.
The team, which included representatives of the university management, employees and teachers of the SUSU Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service, will create and implement a system of tourist programs and routes of cultural, educational, environmental, popular science, industrial and business orientation. These will include excursions to research centres and laboratories of the inter-university campus, as well as visits to scientific, educational and career guidance events.
The implementation of the innovative project will provide a serious incentive for the development of scientific tourism in the Chelyabinsk Region, will allow the formation of the cultural identity of South Ural youth, and will create new points of attraction on the world-class interuniversity campus. The SUSU representatives noted that the successful experience gained during the work of the innovation platform can be used by colleagues from other regions.
