Study, Make Friends and Love: Congratulations on International Youth Day

On International Youth Day we spoke with Acting Vice-Rector for Student and Social Affairs Anton Manuylov. We share his answers on the opportunities for young people that South Ural State University offers.

– How can young people express themselves with the help of SUSU?

– In terms of studies, this is the obtaining of high-quality education with which our graduates are in-demand on the labour market. In extracurricular activities, this means improving and acquiring new skills, honing your competencies. For example, team building, public speaking and organizational skills. In creativity sphere – developing diverse talents, and in sports – improving physical fitness. All this will definitely be of use in the future life. Our university provides opportunities for self-realization in all these areas.

– How can you describe our students?

– They know precisely why they are here. They care about the fate of their region and motherland. These students are ready to take active part in the life of our city and our country. Of course, these are versatile and cheerful boys and girls!

– What student project over the past year do you remember the most?

– Actually, there are many. If we talk about extracurricular activities, I really like our student labour teams. Students work throughout the year. Moreover, student construction teams began working on university facilities (for example, rooms in dormitories). In the creativity field, I really like the performance at the Student Spring All-Russian Festival. In social sphere: active participation of students in various events, such as the opening of the I Am Proud student patriotic club, as well as the Student Tourism program.

– What is the role of the university for young people?

– The role is extremely important. Along with family and school. Namely at the university the corporate culture is formed, with the help of which a person socializes, acquires not only knowledge, but also new useful acquaintances. Indeed, university friendship lasts a lifetime; there are many such examples. You need to find time to study, make friends and love!

– What would you wish for all young people?

– Most of all, to enjoy this time of youth and enjoy life to its fullest. And, of course, take advantage of the opportunities that our South Ural State University provides. Now is the time of opportunities for young people, the main thing is to manage it right.
